litro christmas card

I have created Litro magazines email Christmas Card for them. Drawing the right tree turned out to be a nightmare but in this case a simple triangle worked better than a detailed tree.

pocket watch

I have illustrated a pocket watch that was left to me by my grandfather. I did a basic version because the detail is too small to show up and then I added the grey lines to make it pop.

Eye of Money

At the moment I am enjoying a placement with Litro Magazine. I was asked to illustrate an eye for a short story on money. Here is the outcome.

new poster and book sleeve

here are my latest photos for my exhibition plus the sleeve that I have designed for my book. I decided to use one large photo instead of a poster with a select few because I feel that the picture in the frame entices you more. My tutor suggested to me that I should try a sleeve for my book in this design and he was right, it looks lovely. I printed a the picture on the sleeve so that you would be able to see it through the gap in the sleeve, I thought it wouldn't suit my book but I was very wrong.

Covent Garden, Fleet Street, Hyde Park, and Kensington Gardens

Here are a few pages from the chapters: Covent Garden, Fleet Street, Hyde Park, and Kensington Gardens . . .

Southbank, Highgate Cemetery and Primrose Hill

Here are some clips of pages from the chapters: Southbank, Highgate Cemetery and Primrose Hill . . .

The pictures that enclose the chapter

To separate the chapters from each other I have started the chapters with half of an image and ended them with the other half of the image. When holding up the pages in between the chapters you will see the full image. I thought it was a nice way to separate the sections.

Underground Chapter

This is an example of how my chapters are set up, this is only a small section but I have kept the same theme throughout the whole book. I don't have any page numbers so each chapter is started and finished with the same image and has its own colour scheme for my thought text.

The Design Trail

After a few months of hard work my final major project is complete! I wrote to designers based/from London asking what their favourite place/thing in London is and why? With the answers I received I went on an excursion around London documenting these places with photos I took and my thoughts. This book is my documentation of the design trail that I followed . . .

These pictures are of my A1 poster and my A5 faux leather book, both of these will be on display at my end of year show in Southend, D&AD New Blood, and New Designers.

Student Union 2nd poster

I was asked to create a poster for the Student Union, this was for a fun filled night with a lot going on, I have created tickets that also go along with the theme. From the feed back that I received it went down well with members of the union.
